Embed your first form in 5 minutes
This is the entire path from signing up to a working contact form on your site. No build step, no environment variables, nothing to deploy.
1. Create a form
From your dashboard, click New form, give it a name, and embedio generates an opaque submission key for it — something like ctc_4kd82p. That key is the only thing your site needs to know about.
2. Copy the snippet
<form action="https://api.embed.io/f/ctc_4kd82p" method="POST">
<input type="text" name="name" placeholder="Name" required />
<input type="email" name="email" placeholder="Email" required />
<textarea name="message" placeholder="Message" required></textarea>
<button type="submit">Send</button>
</form>That's a plain HTML form — no JavaScript required. Paste it into any page, static site, or CMS template.
3. That's it
Submit the form and it shows up in your dashboard instantly. Add a hidden _redirect field with a path on your own domain to send visitors to a thank-you page afterward; external destinations are rejected. You can also add a hidden _gotcha field as a honeypot — real visitors never fill it in, so anything that does gets silently dropped.
From here you can tighten spam sensitivity, add a share link so a client can see submissions without a login, or swap the form for a survey — same snippet, same dashboard.
