Getting Started

embedio is backend infrastructure you embed into your own site — forms, bookings, chat, and more, without you standing up a server.

Quickstart

Every project works the same way: create a form in your dashboard, drop a snippet into your page, and submissions start flowing in.

  • Create a form: from your dashboard's Forms page — you'll get back an opaque form key.
  • Embed it: with the SDK script tag below, or post to the same endpoint from any stack — see the Embed SDK guide.
  • Read the data: in your dashboard, or fetch it yourself with your project's API key — see the API Reference.

<form data-embedio="frm_your_form_key">
  <input name="email" type="email" />
  <button type="submit">Send</button>
</form>

Authenticated requests

Endpoints that manage your own resources (forms, bookings, webhooks, uploads, chat) take your project's API key as a Bearer token. Find and regenerate it on the API Keys page in your dashboard.

terminal
curl https://api.tryembedio.com/v1/forms \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer sk_live_..."

Modules

Forms, surveys, newsletter signup, bookings, uploads, live chat, AI chat, and webhooks each have their own section in the API Reference. Which ones are available depends on your plan.
